Can’t help but love…Google Mobile voice search

November 18th, 2008 · No Comments

The accuracy is a hit and miss.  The app is quite good in recognizing words with distinctive sounds.  I said “IKEA brooklyn”,”The Chocolate Room Brooklyn” and “The Spotted Pig New York” and it returned the right results.  It didn’t understand my name (of course, who knows Hui is not pronounced wii?) or “Ugg Soho”.
However, the [...]

“notes that you add to your prototype that allow project team members to discuss system functionality, design, and requirements directly on the prototype. You can think of it like a discussion board/wiki in direct context of your prototype.“

Google Chrome Crashed

September 5th, 2008 · No Comments

Strangely, after I hit Submit Error Report, all the tabs stayed and including the iLike tab.

America’s Next Top Model! Wait, no, America’s Next Top Sumo Wrestler?

“Turn to the right”, “Open the Car Door Now”, “Smile with your eyes and not your mouth”
I love this campaign.  The metaphor works well for me.  The TV ad was smart and funny.  The site itself was really engaging and sophisicated.  It’s an all around win-win.
The site in question is: http://www.sexysubaru.ca/index2.php?lang=en

UI - Digital vs. Physical

July 1st, 2008 · 1 Comment

Do you miss the in-store browsing experience when you shop for books online? Do you think you find things faster in-store instead of using Amazon? If you ask me, my answer will be no.
Not because browsing in-store sucks. I quite enjoy walking around a book store when I am in an exploratory [...]
