Verizon / Verizon Wireless

Role: Lead Interaction Designer

With a solid background in systematic design, I led several projects on the account that is UX intensive.

In an effort to bring in consistency across all the Verizon web domains, the client asked for a UX style guide in addition to their existing design style guide. I was responsible for the creation of a pattern library, a collection of optimal interaction design solutions to common problems, to be used on all of Verizon’s web properties. In addition to coming up with a solution, each pattern is support by extensive research and philosophical reasoning.

I also led the re-design of the online account management interface for Verizon small business users. Delivered user flows, schematics and usability testing insights.

Role: Lead Interaction Designer

An engaging, episodic Back-To-School Campaign for teens, presented by Johnson & Johnson’s Acuvue. The episodes unfolded over 7 weeks and site visitors were invited to vote for their favorite character. In addition, we worked with the popular social networking site Facebook and created the Acuvue sponsored group site as part of the campaign. In less than a week, the sponsored group on Facebook had attracted over 800 members. Delivered design schematic and user flows.

Johnson and Johnson Vision Care

Role: Lead Interaction Designer

Johnson and Johnson Vision Care, a division of Johnson and Johnson, is best known for their Acuvue® contact lenses. The company’s most important business objective is to maintain a great relationship with eye care professionals, and be seen as the expert and educator within the industry.

Johnson and Johnson Vision Care is interested in extending their web presence by building an online community and position it as the resource destination for eye doctors. With that goal, I led and created designs for two web properties, one focused on marketing and the other on education. For the educational website, I designed a knowledgebase that helps doctors find learning materials and uses metadata to improve relevancy. Rich media was also used on both sites to further engage eye doctors.

HTML prototype was delivered for this project and was well received internally and with the clients. Simple JavaScript was used to prototype AJAX behaviors where it would otherwise be difficult to explain on paper.

ACUVUE® Celebrity Moments

Role: Interaction Designer

ACUVUE® Moments is a social community site targeted towards teenagers. As an update to the site, the client challenged R/GA to create an interface to host Celebrity videos and encourage community participation.

The updated site allows users to rate, tag, and post comments on the videos. As seen above, users can "tag" the video according to their own experience.
